ah darkness you are back

with your sweet solitude

amidst the roar of life

there you wrap me in your arms

and confine me in your lap

and sing the lullaby.

I wonder how it would have been

if you were not seen

the eyes would have remained incomplete

there you whisper in my ears

a sweet song of  melancholy

my heart fathoms every beat of it.

ah darkness you are back

with your chivalrous attire

amidst the cloudy nights

there you kiss my forehead 

and press me hard against your chest

and dance the jig.
